Children

Genesis 1 vs. 27 “…be fruitful and multiply.” Having and raising children is a tough job, but consider it an honour that the Lord predestined you to help bring certain souls into the world.  Your number of births and children has been determined by the Lord even before you yourself were born.  My very own mother was born between two boys who both died very young yet the Lord used my mother to bring life to me so I would be able to share this story.  At birth every little girl is born with all the equipment she will need to carry a child.  How it comes forth, miscarriages, stillbirths,.

A Long journey

entry #008 October 2012   Proverbs 31 vs 11,12 The heart of her husband doth trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. My husband had been in school studying in Criminal Justice, after what seemed like a long four years of juggling work and school and having very little time to enjoy him, he finally graduated in the spring of 2012 with his Bachelors degree. I was so proud of him, he worked so hard and finally I figured we would catch a break in this captivity. However, after putting in.

Entry #009 November 2012 “REFLECTION” Am I pregnant? Let’s see…I have to wait a couple of minutes before the results–two pink lines–show up on the pregnancy test. What?! Oh my goodness! The Most High has visited us again. (1 Sam. 2:21) “Hey Babe, the Most High has visited us again.” “What?!”, my lord says, “that’s crazy.” (in a good way). Ooooh, this morning sickness is kicking my butt. I have I have morning, noontime, and evening sickness. I can barely eat a thing because nothing stays down except for Haagen Dazs’ vanilla and almond ice cream bars. Door unlocks, my husband is home, all praises. “Babe, it’s twins,” I say.

Entry #10 November 2012 Manhunt…..Game or Reality? “I never thought this day would come……” Proverbs 31 vs 1-3 he words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him. What, my son? and what , the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows? Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.     The year is 2000 my oldest three baby boys were as cute and loveable as can be.As toddlers they received so many compliments and it was flattering I must admit. I remember sisters telling me, “when those adorable lil boys get older, girls are going to.

Letting Go

Entry # 11 Luke 14 vs 27,28…..And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me cannot be my disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he hath sufficient to finish it ? Can you finish what you have started? Letting Go Mission Statement: Read the laws. Study the laws. Apply them to our lives.     This is the mission statement that my husband reinforces with our family on a daily basis. I repeat this mission a lot throughout my days; however, there have been more days recently where this mission has been put to the.

The Butterflies Diary

Entry #12 Fallen Butterfly   Matthew 10 vs. 29-32… Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing ? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are numbered. Fear not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.     The Butterflies Diary By Joy Lorraine On Monday, November 15, 2012, I discovered 4 Caterpillars’ on my daughter’s fresh bunch of Cauliflower. I took them home in a jar filled with grass, wood chips and a stick. The.

A Special Child

Shalom Sisters Most High in Christ Bless you all. Our Son’s name is Elijah Ben Israel; he is seven years old. One of the most important necessities of raising a child with special needs is establishing a clear system of discipline; it is very important that the child understands what he did wrong before he receives disciplinary measures. We take our counsel from the Scriptures: Ecclesiasticus 30 vs 12,13…Bow down his neck while he is young, and beat him on the sides while he is a child, lest he wax stubborn, and be disobedient to thee, and so bring sorrow to thine heart. Chastise thy son, and hold him to.

Life of an Israelite Mom.

Entry #oo7…Sept/Oct 2012   Proverbs 31 vs 28-29 “Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.”     I went to bed waaaaay too late last night and now it’s Friday morning and I’m exhausted.  My daughter has to catch an early school bus and so does my middle son Nehemiah.  After I drop them off it’s a race to the sabbath sundown clock. My husband is recovering from a bad cold, 3 out of 4  kids have the sniffles, I need to get gas, need to get last minute items for the sabbath, and cook a large after sabbath meal for the congregation.
